A cattle shed in the Ardennes is a Faraday cage with cows in it. Any mobile veterinary workflow that needs a live connection is a workflow that will be redone from paper at the kitchen table.
Xolotl caches the day's round on the device before you leave: the appointments, the animals, their allergies, your priced procedures and consumables, and the stock currently in your vehicle. What you record offline is queued and drains the moment you are back in range.

Field questions
Do I need to install anything?
It installs from the browser onto the phone's home screen and works offline from there. There is no app store step and no separate mobile licence.
What happens if two vets edit the same animal offline?
Each visit is queued as its own record and synced when the device reconnects, so two vets working the same round do not overwrite each other's work.
Are the kilometres automatic?
The trip is accumulated in the background during the round and carried to billing, so callout distance is a number rather than an estimate written on a hand.
