So the solo tier is not a cut-down version. It is the same software, with the same Belgian back office, at one seat.

The reason is plain enough: a vet who starts on Xolotl in year one is a vet who does not spend year five migrating. We would rather earn that than lock it in with a contract.
Questions from solo vets
Do I need a server or a practice computer?
No. It runs in the browser, as a desktop app if you prefer one, and installs to the phone for the round. Several Belgian alternatives still charge a one-time fee for a server version.
What if I grow to two vets?
The per-vet price falls as you add veterinarians rather than rising. Two to five vets is 59 EUR each, from six it is 39 EUR.
